The Rhode Island Council for Economic Education is a 501(c) 3 that provides professional development in economics and personal finance to Rhode Island’s K-12 teachers. RICEE was founded in 1952 and reestablished in 2014 to ensure that all of Rhode Island’s citizens can become functionally literate in economics and personal finance. Economic and financial literacy empowers teachers and their students to be more effective and productive citizens in all aspects of their public and private lives. .
