1. Teachers will register teams of 3-4 High school students as a team, but must complete the Challenge individually within one of the following Divisions.
   1. Adam Smith: High school students enrolled in any two semester Macro/Micro course sequence or any course labeled as AP, IB, Honors, or Collegiate Level. Also, students who have previously competed in the David Ricardo division.
   2. David Ricardo: Students enrolled in one semester or less high school course not labeled AP, IB, Honors, or Collegiate Level.
   3. Middle School: Students enrolled in grades 7-8.
2. The winning Adam Smith and David Ricardo teams in the Hawai'i Economics Challenge will advance to the National Economics Challenge Semi-finals.
