NCCEE: Promoting Economic and Financial Literacy Programs Since 1970

In 1970, the North Carolina Council on Economic Education (NCCEE) was founded with one goal in mind — to enhance and advance economic and financial education for K-12 educators and students of North Carolina.

Today, our non-profit organization provides financial literacy courses, workshops and programs, as well as economic education training to more than 1,500 North Carolina teachers a year. Through our economic education programs, we directly reach more than 15,000 students a year and indirectly reach another 100,000 via better prepared teachers. With support from private businesses and foundations, as well as through partnerships with state agencies, the NCCEE is a tremendous example of an effective public-private partnership.
