Everyone can compete in the EconChallenge ONLINE!

Teacher Registration: Teachers can register at starting January 2, 2019. 
Online Qualifying Competition: The Online Challenge will be held at from January 2 through March 8, 2019 at 6pm.

The top teams in the David Ricardo & Adam Smith divisions will be invited to the State Finals at the Walsh College-Novi campus. Teachers of state finalist teams will be notified via email during the evening of March 8, 2019.

State Finals

When:  Monday, March 25, 2019 from 9am-1:30pm

Where: Walsh College-Novi campus; 41500 Gardenbrook, Novi, Michigan

Who: Top scoring teams in both the David Ricardo & Adam Smith divisions

Each participant in the State Finals will take a 15-question, multiple-choice test in each of the following areas:

  • Round I: Microeconomics (15 questions, taken as individuals, top 3 scores count)
  • Round II: Macroeconomics (15 questions, taken as individuals, top 3 scores count)
  • Round III: International Economics, comparative economic systems, current events and potpourri of applied policy issues(Team score Only)
  • Round IV: Quiz Bowl (top two teams/division)

The State Champion students, parents, and teachers will be invited to the MCEE Champions Dinner in May 2019 at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago-Detroit Branch.




ONLINE STATE QUALIFIER: January 2-March 8, 2019 at 6pm

STATE FINALS: March 25, 2019, Walsh College-Novi campus

NATIONAL REGIONAL: April 17 or 24, 2019 Online

NATIONAL FINALS: May 18-20, 2019 New York
