Dates and Times

Important Dates for the Spring 2024 Massachusetts Econ Challenge

Registration: January 1 - April 4, 2024 student/team registration is ongoing.

To register, teachers go to econchallenge and choose Massachusetts. Then choose Teacher Registration.

Testing Window: January 1 - April 5, 2024.

The Massachusetts Economics Challenge is ONLINE. The student competition is taken online at your school, and supervised by a teacher or approved proctor. See The Rules for further details.
State Champions will be announced for both high school divisions and advancing teams will be notified on April 8, 2024.
National Economics Challenge State Finalists
- State Semi-finals (April 22 - 26, 2024) - The MA State Champions for the Adam Smith and David Ricardo divisions will compete online with other state's Semi-winners for the opportunity to advance to the National Finals.
- National Economics Challenge Finals in NYC: (In-person June 1 - 3, 2024) https://www.councilforeconed.org/national-economics-challenge/
  MA Teams that advance to the Finals will compete for cash prizes in the following amounts for each team member, plus one teacher-coach:
  1st place: $1,000 | 2nd place: $500 | 3rd place: $250 | 4th place: $150
